CONCLUSION

Conclusion

I think this project went well in terms of final images The blog has been difficult due to uploading difficulties which has meant that it has been a slow process. In some ways the blog has been easier to use as the upload can be instant and it is cheaper to create however it is quite time consuming when images wont upload or take a long time to load on to blogger. I have word documents with print screen images that i cannot seem to add to blogger which means that the project looks incomplete. Due to this i will have to e-mail them to my lecturers instead!
I have enjoyed using the skills within image manipulation and this has been my favorite project within the two years of ND. My final images are fitting with the brief requoirements as they all contain or stemmed from my own original photographic images.

This image is from a book 'Digital canvasses 2010'. It is a photoshop image depicting a boat in the water with birds flying. The water texture has been erased with the eraser tool in photoshop giving a movement to the water and creating texture and depth to the water element. The crows become a main point of focus due to the depth of the black and their positioning in the composition. Crows often symbolise death and may give us some insight in to the missing persons from the boat. They an eeirie feel to the image.

explosions

The idea behind this image was to create an explosive scene to add an extreme factor to the image. I took this image in an abandoned film studio in St Agnes and decided to add another element to enhance the skaters movement. I added two elements to my original image the first of which was the poster on the wall of the building. I created this poster from scratch in Photoshop. I used a original poster and changed the colours and created textures and layers of filth to give an older feel to the image. The second element i added was the explosion which was taken from an image i found on the internet. I deleted all aspects of the image except for the explosion itself. I then flipped the explosion to point horizontally and i used transform scale to resize it to fit the scene.
I am happy with the end result but i wish that the sign was duller in colour as it does not fit the image in the way i intended it to.
