This image was created from a number of sources, my original photograph, downloaded gun brushes, downloaded textures and hand drawn shoes. All of these elements put together form an image of a red neck theme. I wanted to show the link between young people and gun culture linked again with video gaming and the issues surrounding the use of guns and violence within society.
I think this image shows these links well with the repetitive use of the gun silouette and the youth stood in a defiant nochlant pose.

SAM-LOVE PARK

This final image contains film strip texture, dirty brusehes were used to make it look like an old negative. The only two original photo elements of my own are the bin on the left and the skateboarder on the right. The love theme originated from Michael Blabacs' images which revolve around a skate culture in Philadelphia. Love was the name of a famous park for skating and was one of the most iconic places within the sport. This park was closed and in this image i wanted to show the vintage feel that surrounds the legend of 'love'.

This image works really well as it looks like an original vintage image as a whole. You cant see where i have added elements as the vintage, dirty brushes merge the elements seemlessly together.
